Global Warming

So here' the deal. I'm helping Johan with a class and this week the subject is about Global Warming. So I want to know from you guys, what you think about Global Warming, what you know and what your thoughts are concerning and what you think it means to "go green". And finally, has the global warming movement changed your behaviors in any way?!

Let me know what you guys think... this is a subject that interests me - a lot. And next time I'll post my feelings on the subject, sounds good?!?!?

thanks!

Hey Anna I think that this is a very interesting topic. I think that they are making a bigger deal of it than it really is. It may just be ignorance but I dont know. I do however believe in going green. I think that it is important no matter what to take care of the world by being more cautious with the way we do things. Well I hope this helped. I hope all is well. By the way Thomas is adorable.

Anna Banana! Thanks for the comment. When do you think you'll be coming to Utah for a visit? If you'll be here on August 1, I'm having a baby shower (post-birth) for family and friends to show Tian off. Nicole will be here at that time--it'd be cool to see you too!

Going Green. You know, from an advertising perspective, I LOVE IT! It sells so well, and people have been brain-washed enough to think that every step they take will effect the environment, so therefore it's easy to sell to people. However, I don't necessarily believe in it. If you look throughout the history of our planet, this has always happened. I once heard a powerful lecture from a LDS teacher while visiting in NY, and she said that the environment is going through it's normal changes, and we have no reason to panic. Also, from a religious perspective... Do people really think our Heavenly Father would create something that would be able to be demonlished by the advancements that he has blessed us with... NO, I don't think so either! "Going Green" has not changed the way I do things in ANY way. Because "going green" means that one completely alters their way of thinking about the environment and their habits. For example, many people have seen the swirly light bulbs that are energy saving which cost nearly twice as much as the traditional bulbs. I once thought of purchasing them, but only for the selfish reason that they may lower my electric bill every month, not to do the world a favor. Anyways, have you researched what has to happen if one happens to break on the kitchen floor (like bulbs often do)? Because it has mercury in it, you potentially put your family at risk.... hmmmm... let me measure: Family....energy....family....energy. To Be completely honest, going green has become a very popular trend.... and everyone wants to be trendy. They listen to the sided media and decide that they don't want to be the bad guy, whether they came up with that on their own or not. DOn't get me wrong, I'm not one of those people who throws garbage outside the window or supports chemicals being thrown into our open waters. I love the outdoors, and I want them to stay just the way they are, but the world is not coming to an end. And that's what the people who are "going green" beleive..... think about it. They're "saving the world." From what? I think Christ is going to come to earth far sooner than it will be "destroyed", and then we'll have an even more beautiful earth to enjoy. I do my best to recycle and I've picked up trash in canyons so people can see their true beauty, but I'm not going to change my life because a few scientists "think" the earth needs saving. A lot of other scientists don't think it does. My motives for writing this is not to offend anyone, but hopefully make people think about what people are feeding them.

Shame on me!!!

Tipo pretty much nao existe. Eu mostrei seu post about it e provavelmente ele vai vir aqui mais tarde deixar a opniao dele que ele eh tao passionate about. E como essa Krystal falou tambem" it is important no matter what to take care of the world".
